Rev. Dr. Lance T. Smith, Sr. serves as the Senior Pastor of Gateway Church – Main

Campus in Atlantic City, NJ. With a deep commitment to ministry and community

service, he holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science degree in Leadership,

a Master in Public Administration, a Master of Arts in Theology, and an honorary Doctor

of Divinity for his lifelong work in ministry and non-profit sectors.

Beyond the pulpit, he is the Deputy Director of New Jersey’s largest supportive housing

agency, Director of Community and Economic Development/CDBG for Atlantic City, and

an active member of several statewide committees focused on affordable housing and

mental health.

Passionate about empowering communities, he works to bridge the gap between faith

and social impact, ensuring that every individual has access to the resources needed to

thrive.
