Brother Ahmed Shedeed is a respected leader in New Jersey’s Muslim community and a steadfast advocate for interfaith collaboration.


As the Executive Director and Chairman of the Islamic Center of Jersey City—one of the state’s oldest mosques and the original home of Al-Ghazaly School—he has played a vital role in fostering spiritual growth and community engagement.


He also serves as an appointee of the Jersey City Planning Board, ensuring that development efforts reflect the needs of the community.


A longtime board member of the Islamic Education Foundation, Brother Ahmed has been instrumental in expanding its reach and impact.
